Overview

Established in 2002, Hannan Yoosuf Architects is a well known name in the building industry of the Maldives. The Principal, Abdul Hannan Yoosuf was a founder and former partner at one of the oldest architectural firms in the country, Group X Graphics and Design Associates Pvt Ltd since 1993 before setting up his own practice.

Hannan Yoosuf Architects’ philosophy is to provide a personal yet efficient service, therefore working in collaboration with clients, making them a part of the design team. In addition to this they also work closely with other related professionals and trades people outside the practice ranging from Engineers to Carpenters to attain the best working knowledge thereby increasing the quality of their products.

The above philosophy is evident in the few number of permanent staff employed at the practice. Consultants are hired on contract basis as needs require. The firm has strong affiliations with other professionals with vast experience in the Maldives building industry.

While the majority of the practice’s works consist of high rise apartment blocks, Hannan Yoosuf Architects has designed prominent government office buildings, schools and tourist resort developments.
